While I was gawking at these pictures, the latest cat in my house, Hermione, came out and smoothed her side fur against my shins. She's a very sweet cat, but we got her after somebody else had managed to (accidentally and stupidly, we believe) train her to bite at hands. It took a month or so of carefully unthreatening stroking to get her to (mostly) stop it.
I think that you are very lucky, as are all of the cats, to have found another family to share your lives with. They look spectacular: I was impressed by the size of Miles's tail on the CCC webpage. I believe that a strong and well stimulated tail on a kitten is a key to intelligence and a adaptability in an adult cat.
It's great to rear them from kittens, because they don't have to learn neurotic tendencies like biting. On the other hand, I have to balance the months of bite marks from Hermione with a year of landing and take-off gouges from Fred and George when they were that size...
Ah! So wee and lovely. Mum looks tired, but relaxed in her new home. Congratulations again. Keep up the photos. Milo has become a big cat now (well, a wee big cat, but not a kitten anymore), so it's wonderful to see the small cuteness.
