11:43 pm: I am a Hopeless Dork
Not because I was watching a History channel show about the Big Bang. No, that's just normal (ahem) intellectual curiosity. No, it was something else. They showed pictures/clips of Hoyle, Gamow, Alpher, and other guys (yeah all guys) involved with all this cosmological physics and I kept thinking, "What an attractive looking man!" I really *am* a physics groupie. (Yeah, ok, Hoyle was an astronomer. Bite me.) Big brains are *so* sexy...

But those were all very handsome guys! You're so right!

I've never been involved with a nonscientist myself. :) I think it's the light in the eyes. Although so many are anything but feminists, it's a light akin to that in the faces of really grand feminists--"shining tough new women." That life and the world are now and going to be fun, for someone with a little chutzpah.

Landau was maybe the handsomest for my money. But then he's my type. A little tall for it maybe but still, that Jewish-Mideastern male equivalent of a beautiful dyke.

Oh, yes. Ohhhhh, my yes. I know exactly what you're talking about. Reading Ellen Klages's The Green Glass Sea was nearly a full-on brain orgasm at times. (A young Feynman. Swoon!) I also lean heavily toward physicists (the boy i was crazy about in high school has gone on to smash atoms somewhere), tho' i'll get googly-eyed over just about any super-smart scientist. You've only known Andy as an Asian studies grad, but when i met him 10 years ago he was a chem major. Somewhere i have a really quite nice pic of him working in a lab. [fans self]

Here, a gift for you. I wonder if i could convince Andy to write out an equation on his biceps and then flex for me....
